We value religious observance enhanced by social action, intellectual challenge, lifelong Jewish learning and beautiful music. New Book Hails Micah as “Extraordinary” Congregation
Temple Micah is one of eight congregations that “helped people connect to Jewish life in a new way….that had gone from commonplace to extraordinary,” according to Sacred Strategies: Transforming Synagogues from Functional to Visionary, by Rabbi Lawrence Hoffman and three co-authors. Rabbi Zemel, who is planning a Sunday morning talk with Hoffman and co-author Steven Cohen, says, “We should all be very proud and a little embarrassed.” The books are being sold through the Judaica Shop for $18, you can request your copy here.
